ABOUT ME
Matthew hails from Northern New Jersey– where he fondly remembers spending his formative years watching every single movie that played on premium cable enough times to defy both logic and reason. After graduating from Boston University and moving to Los Angeles,
Matthew began his career at The Ant Farm as a runner– he quickly became known for his relentless perfectionism, sassiness and willingness to male-model. After becoming a full-time editor at The Ant Farm, he went on to cut in-house for Fox Atomic and Fox Searchlight Pictures. Later he returned to the agency side cutting at Transit, AV Squad and JAX. In 2019, he joined Trailer Park as a creative director where he guided creative for Knives Out, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, and Judy. Currently, he is a creative director at Transit.
Some notable and award-winning campaigns he has worked on include Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, The Little Mermaid (2023), Severance, Spirited, Platonic Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, IF, Ready Player One, Atomic Blonde, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, (500) Days of Summer, The LEGO Movie, Steve Jobs, Star Trek Beyond, and Jack Reacher.
After watching the Super Bowl in 2012, Matthew wondered who finished the “Big Game” spots and why there wasn’t a resource to identify the agencies behind film campaigns like there is in the traditional ad world. Shortly thereafter he started TrailerBeat, a Twitter feed dedicated to answering the question: “Who finished that trailer?”
Matthew loves donuts, 80s comedies, sad British music, a properly loaded dishwasher, international travel and the word “harrumph”.
